STC New York Metro is pleased to announce that it is conducting a hands-on workshop on creating eLearning using Captivate 4 with Joe Ganci.  
 
JosJoeGanci_smallereph Ganci is President of Dazzle Technologies Corp., a custom training and learning company located in Ashburn, VA, outside Washington. D.C. Since 1983 he has been involved in every aspect of multimedia and learning development. Joe holds a degree in Computer Science, and is a published author, having written several books and articles about e-Learning.
 
An expert in eLearning development, he has taught classes and seminars in many organizations and at many industry conferences. He is on a mission to better the quality of eLearning with practical approaches that work.
 
Joe is a frequent speaker in several industry conferences, among them: 
  • eLearning Guild annual and semi-annual gatherings and online forums (where Joe is a favorite)

Day 1 is the Level 1 workshop for those who are just starting to learn Captivate and for those who want to review Captivate and learn more about Captivate 4.
Joe will show how Adobe Captivate is much more than just a software simulation capture tool. You can use it to create branching, add audio, images and more.  You will be engaged in using them to develop a project from start to finish. You will receive a storyboard, and learn how to create each element in Captivate 4. Learning the Captivate options available to you will help you to more quickly and easily meet the needs of your instructional design. Your questions will be welcome, your participation will be expected, and you will have fun while you learn!

In this session, you will learn:   
  1. An Overview of Captivate

  3. Recording Software Simulations
  4. The Timeline and Stage Objects
  5. Text Captions

 Day 2 - Intermediate/Advanced

Level 2 is intended for those who already know the topics in Part 1. In this workshop, you will not only learn the advanced features of Captivate, you will learn how to develop engaging eLearning. You will receive a storyboard, and learn how to create advanced elements in Captivate 4. Joe will share several Tips and Tricks on how to use Captivate productively. Your questions will be welcome, your participation will be expected, and you will have fun while you learn!
